Presentation of a Proclamation proclaiming May "Older Americans Month" Raymond Figueroa, Recreation Coordinator at Pleasanton Senior Center, provided a brief overview of the history of Older Americans Month. He stated that Pleasanton has been extremely supportive of its mature adult community. Through its Community Services Department and the Senior Center, the City has sponsored a wide scope of lifelong learning, recreational and social opportunities. The Senior Center also works closely with community partners to offer a number of free and low cost services and resources. Tonight's proclamation is an affirmation of those contributions and services and the City's commitment to dignity, value and respect for its aging population.
