CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 03-024 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE <br />(RESOLUTION NO. 92-100) TO INCREASE IN-LIEU PARK <br />DEDICATION FEES <br /> <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code Chapter 19.44 requires five acres of parkland for each <br />1,000 residents; and <br /> <br />the Code permits developers to pay an In-Lieu Park Dedication Fee in the event a <br />sufficient mount of parkland is not available or appropriate for dedication; and <br /> <br />the City Council has previously adopted a Master Fee Schedule by Resolution No. <br />92-100, as amended, which set an In-Lieu Park Fee; and <br /> <br />in September 1996, the City Council approved Resolution No. 96-106, which <br />designated criteria to be used in establishing the In-Lieu Park Dedication Fee; and <br /> <br />in March 2002, the City Council directed the Parks and Community Services <br />Department to review the In-Lieu Park Dedication Fee to determine if the amount <br />of the fee needed revision; and <br /> <br />an Ad Hoc Committee comprised of members of the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission, Economic Vitality Committee, Chamber of Commerce, development <br />community and citizens-at-large was formed to review the designated criteria and <br />make recommendations; and <br /> <br />the Ad Hoc Committee has analyzed proposed park projects, parkland needs of the <br />community at build out, land sales information and fee alternatives, and forwarded <br />its recommendation to the Parks and Recreation Commission; and <br /> <br />on March 13, 2003, the Parks and Recreation Commission adopted the <br />recommendation of the Ad Hoc Committee to increase the In-Lieu Park <br />Dedication Fee; and <br /> <br />the City Council held a noticed public hearing on April 1, 2003 to consider <br />proposed increases to the In-Lieu Park Dedication Fee; and <br /> <br /> <br />
