6. Email from Terri Maxoutopoulis, February 21, 2013 regarding Environmental <br /> Awareness Day & Pleasanton Play Day— April 27, 2013. <br /> Reviewed. Ms. Hopkins questioned whether the Commission would like to agendize this for <br /> discussion at the next meeting. The Commission agreed. <br /> 7. Email from Eric Arellano, February 27, 2013 regarding Clean Water Utility Project. <br /> Reviewed. The Commission asked that this item be placed on the next meeting agenda so they <br /> discuss whether they would like for Eric Arellano to present to the Commission. <br /> COMMISSION REPORTS <br /> 8. Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails Committee <br /> Commissioner Franklin advised that the Committee had discussed: 1) proposed grant <br /> applications for One Bay Area Grant; 2) reviewed the Trails Project Status Report; and 3) <br /> discussed bicycle and pedestrian circulation in the vicinity of the Gateway Project on Bernal <br /> Avenue. <br /> 9. Parks and Recreation Master Plan Steering Committee <br /> No report. <br /> 10. Youth in Government Day <br /> Commissioner Hadley and Chairperson Malindzak advised that the Committee had discussed <br /> the duties of each Commissioner event making sure that all participants get to the appropriate <br /> person they will be shadowing with. They also discussed activities for the event, food and <br /> closing comments. About 60 students will be participating at this Youth in Government Day <br /> event. <br /> 11. Youth Master Plan Implementation Oversight Committee <br /> Commissioner Olmo advised that the Committee had discussed turning over oversight of the <br /> Youth Master Plan to the Youth Commission. <br /> 12. Cultural Arts Master Plan <br /> No report. <br /> 13. Brief reports on any meetings, conferences, and/or seminars attended by the <br /> Commission members <br /> Chairperson Malindzak advised that she had attended a meeting on the problems with <br /> homework.
