ATTACHMENT 2 Scope of Services 1) Pacific Coast Repertory Theatre (PCRT) will produce three productions in partnership with the City of Pleasanton's Civic Arts Presents Programs. 2) PCRT shall secure the rights for pre-existing scripts and adaptations of pre-existing work. 3) For the 2013/2014 Season PCRT will produce the following three shows: a. Fall: Little Shop of Horrors b. Winter: Chorus Line c. Spring: Music Man RIGHTS PERMITTING 4) PCRT shall provide all Artistic and Stage Director services; as such, PCRT shall cast each show, conduct rehearsals, work with designers and carry out the artistic vision for the show and the program overall. 5) PCRT shall provide one production stage manager to coordinate rehearsals, technical aspects and "call" each show. PCRT shall also provide an ASM/props person to further enhance the supervision of the production. 6) PCRT shall provide all design elements reasonably necessary including: a. Set Design - PCRT shall employ a Set designer and builders to create a set appropriate for each production. b. Costume Design — PCRT shall employ a Costume designer and builder to create, rent, or "pull" all costumes appropriate for this production. PCRT will keep whatever costumes it "builds". c. Lighting Design - PCRT shall employ a Lighting designer to create light plot, supervise light hang and focus and work with director to create cues to enhance theatrical production. Lighting designer will use only existing lighting equipment inventory of the Firehouse Theater, unless agreed to in advance by City of Pleasanton. City of Pleasanton may elect to execute light hang and focus with City Tech Staff only OR with approved contracted staff. Firehouse to provide color gels. d. Props - PCRT shall acquire all props needed for each production, either by renting, building or purchasing each prop. PCRT will keep whatever props, it "builds". e. Choreographer, Music Director, High Quality Recorded Musical Tracks —for musicals, PCRT shall also provide these additional elements. f. Special skills (puppetry, fight choreographer, etc) as reasonably required by specific production. g. Sound designer/operator—City of Pleasanton will provide a qualified staff person, at City's sole expense, to fill this position. City will make a concerted effort to make available the Lead Technician; however, if he is not available another highly qualified tech will be supplied. Such staff person shall attend all rehearsals and performances as reasonably required. 7) PCRT will facilitate collaboration with City of Pleasanton staff by sharing design concepts as they are developed. PCRT will make the final artistic decisions for each production.
