Dear Council Members, I have lived at and have surely seen a lot of changes locally and in my own neighborhood. I am very concerned about a possible increase of traffic going down Junipero St as it already is budened by the extra load of morning and afternoon commuters & parents taking kids to school, who are trying to avoid the traffic signals at Mission and Bernal. Junipero Street is beautiful and inviting at the park where speeders race past kids practicing soccer& baseball. Can you not see that this is already a danger to the people here and those using the park?! We have this lovely park where parties are held many weekends of the year under the inviting gazebo all the while speeders race past the beautiful park while parents unload children from their cars. Our streets are narrower and were never set up to take this amount of traffic. Why, there is not even a crosswalk to the park except at the corner of Independence and Junipero. We do not need more traffic. Please understand the reality of this situation. We need crosswalks, stop signs and speed bumps! We wouldn't mind a nice sign to tell commuters NOT to use this route during commute times like the signs you put to the entrance of a neighboring area at Mission Dr. and Dolores Dr. and also Puerto Vallarta and Bernal. Why can't we have that?We do not want any more traffic down Junipero Street. Please hear the people speak! Please HEAR the PEOPLE speak!
