We have lived in Pleasanton for 26 years. Prior to buying our home in 2001 we made an offer on a property on Sunset Creek Way in Bridle Creek. We subsequently withdrew our offer as we were concerned about increased traffic resulting from the build out of additional subdivisions. At that time the Greenbrier representative, Sandy, made it clear that the Pleasanton had planned access to future developments to enter through Bridle Creek. We bought our home in Ventana Hills because we loved the quiet neighborhood and we knew that the City had agreed to route traffic from future developments through Bridle Creek. Although our children are grown, we are concerned that an access road to Lund Ranch II through Ventana Hills will endanger the children and families who use Mission Hills Park. Additional traffic on the "S" curve alongside the park is a recipe for disaster. We have seen many close calls as parents drop off children for soccer practice, mothers attempt to cross the street with strollers, and families unpack for picnics. Drivers simply can't see pedestrians. There has been a long history of the residents of Ventana Hills working with The City of Pleasanton in good faith. We hope you will continue to honor the agreements made with the Ventana Hills Steering Committee regarding through traffic in our neighborhood.
