<br /> be used to improve and maintain the schools garden,along with teach the students to compost food scraps and
<br /> garden/yard waste. Students will also learn how different birds and insects can help the garden to flourish.

<br /> $1,000.00—Funds will be used for an Environmental Impact unit for high school seniors enrolled in Expository Reading
<br /> and Writing requiring students to research an environmental issue which is important to them and then come up with a
<br /> school-focused group or individual project to address it.

<br /> $1,900.00—Grant funds would be used to hire a Lunchtime Recycling Program Coordinator to work with the PTA to
<br /> solicit and oversee parent volunteers to aid in the green lunch program.
