Ordinance No.2055 <br /> Page 7 <br /> 18.74.020 Creation of District. <br /> There is hereby created a zoning overlay district known as the Downtown <br /> Pleasanton Revitalization district (hereinafter referred to as "district") the <br /> boundaries of which are as follows: <br /> Within this district are two overlay areas, the Downtown Hospitality Central Core <br /> Area and the Downtown Hospitality Transition Area as designated on the <br /> Downtown Hospitality Area map following this chapter. The Downtown <br /> Hospitality Transition Area overlay includes the public park, Civic Park, at the <br /> intersection of Main Street and Bernal Avenue. <br /> Section 3 In approximately March 2013, the Downtown Hospitality Area map dated <br /> December 2012 shall be updated to include additional area in the Downtown Hospitality Central <br /> Core Area by Peters Avenue if: <br /> a. The area is located within the Downtown Hospitality Central Core Area <br /> recommended by the Downtown Hospitality Guidelines Task Force on March 31, <br /> 2012, the Pleasanton Downtown Association in June 2012, and the City of <br /> Pleasanton Economic Vitality Committee in June 2012; and <br /> b. The property owner of the area made a written request to the zoning <br /> administrator to have its property in the Downtown Hospitality Central Core Area <br /> within 60 days of the notification date by City staff of potential hospitality area re- <br /> designations from the Downtown Hospitality Transition Area to the Downtown <br /> Hospitality Central Core Area. <br /> Section 4. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) <br /> days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in <br /> the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the <br /> City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> Section 5. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a special meeting of the City Council of the <br /> City of Pleasanton on November 27, 2012 by the following vote. <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Noes: Councilmembers McGovern, Sullivan <br /> Absent: None <br /> And was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on <br /> December 4, 2012 by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Noes: Councilmembers McGovern, Sullivan <br /> Absent: None <br />
