nection of the overall development located on this cul-de-sac to the other, nearby projects in the <br />Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan area. <br /> <br /> Primary Goals <br /> <br />The primary goals of the landscape design guidelines are to: <br /> <br /> · To achieve landscape designs and treatments which complement and accentuate the ar- <br /> chitectural character of the buildings on this cul-de-sac. <br /> <br /> · To use landscape elements to create unique neighborhood character within the cul-de-sac <br /> area. <br /> <br /> · To establish a high level of design quality in terms of landscape materials and details of <br /> construction. <br /> <br /> Landscape Design Guidelines <br /> <br />Residential Street Trees: <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />Street tree planting patterns should be informal in arrangement along both sides of <br />the public street and cul-de-sac serving this development. <br /> <br />Tree patterns should be groupings of various tree types rather than a uniform <br />planting of a single species. <br /> <br />Street tree location should vary in spacing from one another and distance from the <br />street. <br />Breaks or discontinuities in street tree patterns are encouraged to enhance view <br />corridors between buildings and to define outdoor space areas. <br /> <br />Tree species to be used in street tree plantings should be include trees that flower, <br />have seasonal interest, and/or distinctive form and foliage. <br /> <br />Street trees should be a minimum 24-inch box size when installed. <br /> <br />Final Design Guidelines (Corrected) <br /> <br />Residential Lot Tree Planting (Non Street Tree) <br /> <br />a. Planting within individual residential lots and yards should generally be informal <br /> rather than formal in arrangement. <br /> <br />b.
