CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03-078 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF <br />FEDERAL GRANT FUNDS RELATIVE TO THE H.O.M.E. <br />(HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES MADE EASY) PROGRAM <br />FOR FISCAL YEARS 2003, 2004, AND 2005 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Congress of the United States enacted the Cranston-Gonzalez National <br />Affordable Housing Act of 1990 and Federal regulations have been adopted <br />pursuant thereto, hereinafter called the "Act"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Title II of the Act creates the Home InvesWnent in Affordable Housing Program <br />hereinafter called "HOME", that provides funds to states and local governments <br />for acquisition, rehabilitation, new construction of affordable housing and <br />tenant-based rental assistance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />HOME funds are distributed to metropolitan cities, urban counties, states, and <br />consortia of local govermnents by the Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development (HUD); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />HUD encourages jurisdictions to plan for the use of federal funds in three-year <br />program cycles for the purposes of planning and implementation of housing and <br />community development programs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton is a participating jurisdiction under the Alameda County <br />HOME Consortium and receives an annual formula allocation of federal funds <br />from the Housing Opportunities Made Easy (HOME) program to enable certain <br />housing projects and activities which benefit low income persons; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of June 17, 2003, the City Council reviewed the report of the <br />Housing Division (SR 03:168) regarding the proposed HOME program funding <br />allocation for Fiscal Years 2003, 2004, and 2005; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
