PI1-0824(Downtown Hospitality Guidelines), P12-0798(Pleasanton Municipal Code Amendments)
Initial Study and Negative Declaration
--- iv) Paths? --- -- --- — — -- --- X ❑
v) Other public facilities? ❑
DISCUSSION
a. The project would not result in development not previously planned or accounted for
by school, park, police and fire service providers. The project would not result in
new construction not previously planned or accounted for by the City and is not
anticipated to significantly increase the number of Planning applications or special
events under review by the City of Pleasanton. As proposed, Special Downtown
Accessory Entertainment Uses which adhere to the proposed guidelines and
standards would be permitted uses, requiring no City review. The Police
Department responds to calls for service Downtown and City wide, and reviews and
monitors special events Downtown. Calls for Police and Code Enforcement
services as a result of the project are not likely to increase staffing that cannot be
accommodated within existing facilities.
Special events and hospitality uses, such as music, entertainment, and bars are
already allowed Downtown. The underlying zoning map establishing where these
uses may be located is not proposed to change. Increases in occupancy above
Code, such as the Fire Code, are not proposed. These types of events and
commercial land uses were addressed in the Pleasanton General Plan and its
corresponding BR.
The Pleasanton General Plan and Housing Element and CAP EIR required no
mitigation/improvement measures for public services and deemed all public service
impacts without mitigation as being less than significant.
The proposed project is not anticipated to create any new or additional impacts
which have not already been studied in the Pleasanton General Plan and Housing
Element and CAP EIRs. Therefore, these would be of less than significant impact.
November 2,2012 47
