WORKPLAN
Circulation System and Roadway Capacity Needs
Develop daily and peak hour traffic projections for proposed street networks,
internal intersections, and intersections providing access to the project site
using the model and the trip generation to determine the number of travel
lanes and intersection configurations needed within the Project site, including
the connections of Busch Road, Stanley Blvd., and the Fallen Road to the El
Charro Road extension.
Develop roadway cross section recommendations using a "=omplete streets"
approach, as identified in the Climate Action Plan. Consider the full range of
users, including children, the disabled, and seniors. Fehr & Peers will review
the plans to ensure safe and efficient circulation of vehicles, bicycles and
pedestrians.
Plans will be reviewed in terms of:
• Site access, interface with roadway network including adequacy of turn-
pocket lengths, driveway throat lengths, sight distance, ievel of service
• Internal intersection operations
• Emergency vehicle access and circulation
• Vehicular circulation within and adjacent to the site
• Parking layout and circulation within the site
• Pedestrian access and circulation within and adjacent to the site
• Bicycle access and circulation within and adjacent to the site
• Transit and shuttle vehicle circulation within and adjacent to site,
including the potential to reroute existing transit routes or developing
new routes
• Pedestrian access to and from transit stops
• Truck circulation and loading dock access for commercial parcels
Document the findings in a technical memorandum with liberal use of
graphics, figures, and tables to highlight recommendations for ultimate
intersection configurations and traffic controls,as well as the transportation
infrastructure needed to support each phase of development.
Roadway Cross Section Design Input
Based on the results of Task 5,develop roadway cross section standards for
the development, including appropriate travel lane, median island, bicycle
lane, parking lane, and sidewalk widths. Guidance for potential trail crossings
will also he provided. This task assumes that other members of the Planning
Team will prepare the detailed cross-sections and our role wJl be to review
those designs and provide input. This work effort will guide the preparation
of the Circulation Element of the Specific Plan.
Subtask 5.2— Preliminary Prepare an existing facilities map based upon information provided by the
Engineering Utility City of Pleasanton and jurisdictional agencies.
Infrastructure and Water
Supply Report Develop a preliminary infrastructure analysis to address the rollowing:
• Sewer (collection/treatment/generation rates) existing conditions and
exhibit
• Water (distribution system/water demands) existing conditions and
exhibit
GATES 6
,Assocures
