THE CITY OF 9 <br /> — t _ CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTONV <br /> August 21, 2012 <br /> Community Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE FORMATION OF A 12-MEMBER AD-HOC PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION MASTER PLAN STEERING COMMITTEE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> At its meeting on July 17, 2012, the City Council approved a professional services <br /> agreement with RJM Design Group to assist with developing a comprehensive Parks <br /> and Recreation Master Plan that will inventory the City's current facilities and programs, <br /> and identify what recreational services, facilities and funding will be needed by 2020. <br /> To assist with this master planning process, staff is proposing establishment of a 12- <br /> member Ad Hoc Parks and Recreation Master Plan Steering Committee (Committee) to <br /> provide adequate public participation and guidance during the process. This report <br /> outlines the recommended purpose and composition of the Committee <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the formation of a 12-member Ad-Hoc Parks and Recreation Master Plan <br /> Steering Committee from the commissions and organizations detailed in this report <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no financial impact as a result of committee formation. <br />
