MINUTES 1 <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> July 17, 2012 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Thorne <br /> lead the Pledge of Allegiance and provided introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio (via teleconference), McGovern, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: Councilmember Sullivan <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Lowell reported that the Council met in Closed Session with labor negotiators regarding <br /> International Association of Firefighters Local 1974. The Council also met with real property negotiators <br /> regarding property at the northwest corner of Old Bernal Avenue. No reportable action was taken on <br /> either item. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS - None <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Administrative Services <br /> 1. Approved regular meeting minutes May 1, 2012, June 5 & 19, 2012, special minutes of May 7 & <br /> 15, 2012 <br /> Councilmember Thorne requested an addition to page 7 of the meeting minutes of June 19, 2012. He <br /> asked that the record include his comments that he had been working for a little under one year with <br /> leaders of the City's various sports leagues to try and identify funding mechanisms for the sports fields <br /> at Bernal Park, that City staff is now involved in the process and they are very close to reaching an <br /> agreement. <br /> City Attorney <br /> 2. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a lease with Verizon Wireless for cellular <br /> antenna facilities on City property located at 8251 Santos Ranch Road <br /> 3. Adopted Resolution No. 12-555 setting forth settlement authority for Government Claims and <br /> Workers' Compensation Claims against the City of Pleasanton <br /> 4. Approved new FPPC Form 806 (Agency Report of Public Official Appointments) and authorize its <br /> posting on the City's website <br /> City Manager <br /> 5. Designated Jerry Thorne as the Voting Delegate for the 2012 League of California Cities Annual <br /> Conference <br /> Community Development <br />
