THE CITY OF \
'-- CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT 2
PL£ASANTONo
August 21, 2012
City Manager
TITLE: ADOPT THE PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE TRI-VALLEY
COMMUNITY TELEVISION CORPORATION BY-LAWS
SUMMARY
Tri-Valley Community Television (TVCTV) is a nonprofit corporation that coordinates
and produces community service television in the Tri-Valley. The TVCTV by-laws
require that certain by-law revisions be approved by each city council of each member
city. The City of San Ramon is leaving TVCTV and the City Councils of the remaining
member cities must account for that change by adopting a resolution restructuring the
Board of Directors. This change causes a revision to the TVCTV by-laws. Each city
must also revise their budget allocation for TVCTV.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the attached resolution approving a revision of membership to the TVCTV Board
of Directors by-laws and a supplemental General Fund appropriation of $33,308.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
A reduction in member cities will cause an increase of $33,308 to the subsidy ($22,000)
and Public Educational and Government Access (PEG) pass through fees ($11,308).
The funding for the increase in the city's contribution to TVCTV of $33,308 will be
funded from the General Fund contingency.
