THE CITY OF L <br /> 1 ^ <br /> I <br /> -- - CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTON. <br /> June 19, 2012 <br /> Community Development <br /> Planning Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT IN THE <br /> AMOUNT OF $138,240 WITH DEBORAH DIAMOND FOR PLANNING <br /> SERVICES <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Planning Division anticipates the need for planning assistance in order to complete <br /> the implementation of the Housing Element and the Climate Action Plan, both of which <br /> were adopted in February 2012. Deborah Diamond is a planning consultant who has <br /> the qualifications and experience to complete this work. The contract is for a total of <br /> $138,240, and staff is requesting that the City Manager be given the authority to extend <br /> the contract for an additional $138,240, at the City's discretion. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Authorize the City Manager to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with <br /> Deborah Diamond. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The contract total not to exceed $138,240 will be covered by funds in the Lower Income <br /> Housing Fund ($90,000) and the balance from contingency ($48,384). <br />
