EXHIBIT A - <br /> Scope of Consultant's Services <br /> The Consultant shall prepare a Local Historic Context document using the guidance outlined by <br /> Marie Nelson, State Historian II and the format outlined in Office of Historic Preservation's "OHP <br /> Preferred Format for Historic Context Statements." <br /> The consultant shall review and comment on the boundaries of the City's currently identified historic <br /> downtown neighborhoods. <br /> Public Participation <br /> The ad hoc Historic Preservation Task Force will be reviewing the Local Historic Context document. <br /> The consultant shall attend two Historic Preservation Task Force meetings which will be used to <br /> present the draft document,provide information to the public, discuss potential revisions to the <br /> document, and to ultimately present a final document to the Historic Preservation Task Force. <br /> Meetings and Meeting Products <br /> The consultant should also expect to attend two working meetings with staff. <br /> For the task force meeting, the consultant shall prepare presentation materials which may include a <br /> demonstration of information in the document,a brief written report to be distributed in advance of <br /> the meeting. The task force meetings are anticipated to last two hours. <br /> Schedule <br /> In order to meet the deadline of submitting a draft Local Historic Context document to the Historic <br /> Preservation Task Force in August 2012, the consultant shall meet the following major milestones: <br /> Milestone: Date: <br /> Submittal of Proposal May 28, 2012 <br /> Award of contract June 11, 2012 <br /> Draft Local Historic Context document July 31,2012 <br /> available to the public and the Historic <br /> Preservation Task Force <br /> Receipt of comments from the FIistoric August 15,2012* <br /> Preservation Task Force <br /> Consultant addresses comments from the September 3,2012* <br /> Historic Preservation Task Force and <br /> prepares a revised Local Historic Context <br /> document(administrative and final) <br /> *Approximate date <br /> The City staff shall take the lead on the following tasks: <br /> • Assembly of existing City documentation on historic resources <br /> • Review of the effectiveness of existing historic programs <br /> • Preparation of staff reports for Planning Commission and City Council action <br /> • Public notification of meetings and copying meeting materials <br />
