Main entrance and exit should be on Bernal
2. Visual impact on substation;train noise
3. Creek access should be offered; connection to BMX park
Questions/comments at May 5, 2012 meeting:
1. Have each of the site decided what will be built? Can we share come concerns regarding a
specific site?
2. What is timeline for all of the process?
3. How do you decide whether or not school district can absorb growth?
4. How will growth be accommodated in a few years when grade school students move on to
middle school and high school? (In addition to Janice's response, Rick mentioned that based on
other projects, there are far fewer kids per household in multi-family housing than in single-
family housing.
5. What are the affordable housing requirements?
6. BART, page 9: footnote number"1" doesn't reference anything; reduced parking standards
within ''/.-mile, but industry standards now allow%:-mile; page 46: minimum of 249 units; what
does minimum mean? Also, should have at least 5,000 square feet of retail.
7. Is the units per acre based on formula?
8. Comment: many BART trains are empty by the time they come to Tri-Valley, but full when they
leave for other areas in the morning. Many other communities are trying to create urban
experiences in suburbs. Need to establish more activity than just employment.
9. What about the other sites that weren't picked for the Housing Element?
10. What about the entitlement for BRE? Was there environmental work for traffic impacts?
Page 1
