■ PLEASANTON TOD STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES: BART PROPERTY
A5. LOOP DRIVE
The western leg of the Loop Drive is an extension of Willow Road to provide access to the BART Plaza
and the western parking structure. Loop Drive at this leg should be two lanes in each direction with
parallel parking areas on each side of the street. Depending on use,the parallel parking may be used as
a drop-off/loading area for hotel patrons.
• # car
tilkie41,;4 f
Ti
❑ 4 4 ❑,
non ism
SECTION C 109' min. HMI
A4. BART ACCESS ROAD/ BUS BAYS
The BART Access Road provides vehicular access under the 1-580 overpass to Dublin and the BART
Station. The drive will provide private vehicle access to the eastern parking structure(s) and, beyond the
westernmost garage entrance, it will be restricted to buses and authorized vehicles under the overpass.
Should inbound buses experience delay in the mixed-traffic part of the road, the inbound curb lane
could be formally striped as a "bus only" lane.
The bus bays will be reconfigured to be more efficient and closer to the BART station. The developer
shall work with LAVTA, BART and any other transportation service providers using the bus bays to work
on a plan that meets service demands while consolidating bus bays. The consolidation of bus bays is not
essential to the development concepts. Alternative architectural solutions should be explored if
reduction in bus bay length is not deemed feasible (i.e. integrating bus bays into the ground floor of the
parking structure).
June 17, 2011 18 WORKSHOP DRAFT
