(max. 700 characters) <br /> s the primary ADA paratransit provider for Pleasanton and Sunol during defined operating hours(Monday- <br /> Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm),PPS is meeting the Paratransit Program <br /> Implementation Guidelines. PPS service area extends beyond the ADA guidelines,fares are consistent with <br /> East Bay Paratransit or LAVTA fares and the services are pre-scheduled,accessible,and door-to-door.The <br /> program does not impose ride limitations based on trip purpose.During FY 12-13,PPS staff will be <br /> implementing the new age guidelines,with full implementation due by July 1,2013.Cost per trip is <br /> omparable to other ADA-mandated providers. <br /> 3. If proposing service changes from this fiscal year, please describe what changes are <br /> proposed and why. Please describe how these changes will impact the ability of seniors and <br /> people with disabilities in your community to meet their basic life needs. (max. 700 <br /> characters) <br /> During FY 12-13,PPS staff will be reviewing client demographics and identifying those seniors aged 60 to <br /> •9 years,and educating them on the upcoming age eligibility change.Currently,PPS staff estimates that <br /> here are approximately 111 registered riders that will no longer meet the age criteria.Of these 111, 18 are <br /> regular PPS riders.Staff will work with these riders to assure that they understand all transit options <br /> including the possibility of applying for ADA certification which is provided by LAVTA.If ADA approved, <br /> hen PPS can continue providing service to these clients. <br /> DEVELOPMENT OF PROGRAM PLAN <br /> 4. How was consumer input sought in development of your program plan and selection of <br /> the services offered? Describe all activities undertaken in connection with this plan, <br /> including consumer or public meetings; meetings with other agencies; presentations to <br /> boards, commissions, or committees. If possible provide general dates for these activities. <br /> (See questions 4A and 48 that follow;max. 500 characters.) <br /> s part of the annual planning process,600 PPS users were sent service evaluations on March 1,2012 <br /> seeking input on the program. Free rides were offered to anyone completing the surveys with findings to <br /> be reviewed by the PPS Task Force. Staff worked with the PPS Task Force to develop(5)five new outcome <br /> measures as goals for FY 11-12.The PPS Task Force reviewed the plan at its 2/17/12 meeting and will again <br /> •n 5/18/12.A Paratransit Open House held on 9/28/11 encouraged community input. <br />
