CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO . 568 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 13 , OF ORDINANCE 520 (ZONING ORDINANCE) , RELATING TO THE PROCEDURAL ASPECTS OF PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENTS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS : I . Section 13 . 101, of Article 13 , of Ordinance 520, is hereby amended as follows : "An amendment to reclassify property to a PUD District may be initiated by the owner, the City Planning Commis- sion, or the City Council . If initiated by the City Planning Commission or the City Council , a zoning map amendment classifying the property PUD shall be imple- mented prior to the filing of any development plans pursuant to this article . It is the intent of this section that the Commission shall initiate a PUD District for proposed new commercial areas whenever it believes that use of the PUD procedures would contribute toward achievement of the objectives prescribed in Section 1 . 101 . (Objectives ) , and the purposes prescribed in Section 13 . 100, (Purposes ) . " II. Section 13 . 108 , of Article 13 , Ordinance 520, is hereby amended by the addition thereto of subsection " (n) " , said subsec- tion to provide as follows : " (n) If the land is to be subdivided, a Tentative Sub- division Map consistent with the provisions of Ordinance 358. " III. Article 13, of Ordinance 520 , is hereby amended by the addition thereto of Section 13 . 107 . 5 to provide as follows : "Section 13 . 107 . 5 Preliminary Development Plan If the land for which a PUD is proposed is to be subdivided, a preliminary development plan shall be submitted prior to the submittal of a tentative development plan. The preliminary development plan and the preliminary subdivision map shall be con- sidered by the subdivision committee as provided in Section 3 . 02 of Ordinance 358 . "
