CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> ORDINANCE NO . 568 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 13 , OF ORDINANCE 520 <br /> (ZONING ORDINANCE) , RELATING TO THE PROCEDURAL ASPECTS <br /> OF PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENTS <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS : <br /> I . <br /> Section 13 . 101, of Article 13 , of Ordinance 520, is hereby <br /> amended as follows : <br /> "An amendment to reclassify property to a PUD District <br /> may be initiated by the owner, the City Planning Commis- <br /> sion, or the City Council . If initiated by the City <br /> Planning Commission or the City Council , a zoning map <br /> amendment classifying the property PUD shall be imple- <br /> mented prior to the filing of any development plans <br /> pursuant to this article . It is the intent of this <br /> section that the Commission shall initiate a PUD District <br /> for proposed new commercial areas whenever it believes <br /> that use of the PUD procedures would contribute toward <br /> achievement of the objectives prescribed in Section 1 . 101 . <br /> (Objectives ) , and the purposes prescribed in Section <br /> 13 . 100, (Purposes ) . " <br /> II. <br /> Section 13 . 108 , of Article 13 , Ordinance 520, is hereby <br /> amended by the addition thereto of subsection " (n) " , said subsec- <br /> tion to provide as follows : <br /> " (n) If the land is to be subdivided, a Tentative Sub- <br /> division Map consistent with the provisions of <br /> Ordinance 358. " <br /> III. <br /> Article 13, of Ordinance 520 , is hereby amended by the addition <br /> thereto of Section 13 . 107 . 5 to provide as follows : <br /> "Section 13 . 107 . 5 Preliminary Development Plan <br /> If the land for which a PUD is proposed is to be <br /> subdivided, a preliminary development plan shall be <br /> submitted prior to the submittal of a tentative <br /> development plan. The preliminary development plan <br /> and the preliminary subdivision map shall be con- <br /> sidered by the subdivision committee as provided <br /> in Section 3 . 02 of Ordinance 358 . " <br />
