Attachment 2 <br /> I THE CITY OF <br /> Human Services <br /> �LLfSfNTONc commission Minutes <br /> Qty Council Chamber, 200 Old Bernal Avenue <br /> March 7, 2012 —4:00 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairperson Rowland called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance to the <br /> flag was recited. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Commissioners Present: Joyce Berger, David Lambert, Don Wilson, Rosiland Wright, and <br /> Chairperson Theresa Rowland. <br /> (Commissioner Prashant Jhanwar arrived at 4:15 p.m. <br /> Commissioner Brock Roby arrived at 4:19 p.m., and Commissioner <br /> David Nagler arrived at 4:45 p.m.) <br /> Commissioners Absent: None. <br /> Staff Present: Susan Andrade-Wax, Director of Community Services; Michele <br /> Grose, Community Services Manager; Scott Erickson, Housing <br /> Specialist; Nilo Velasquez, Intern; and Edith Caponigro, Recording <br /> Secretary. <br /> MATTERS BEFORE THE COMMISSION <br /> 4. Recommendation to allocate Housing and Human Services Grant (HHSG) Funds for <br /> Fiscal Year 2012/2013 <br /> Mr. Erickson reviewed with the Commission a PowerPoint presentation outlining aspects of the <br /> grant funding process. He advised that a total of 23 applications had been received for funding <br /> under the City's Housing and Human Services Grant (HHSG) program. Recommendations <br /> made by the Commission are tentatively scheduled to be reviewed by the City Council on April <br /> 17, 2012. It is expected that, at that time, the Council will adopt a resolution approving the <br /> funding plan for the HHSG program, together with funding recommendations for Youth and Civic <br /> Arts, for FY 2012/13. <br /> The Commission was further advised by Mr. Erickson that the anticipated level of funding for the <br /> HHSG program was $642,187, with a total of $192,187 from CDBG, $160,000 from the City's <br /> General Fund, $200,000 from the HOME fund, and $90,000 from the Low Income Housing <br /> Human Services Commission Minutes <br /> March 7, 2012 <br /> Page 1 <br />
