ATTACHMENT 1 RESOLUTION NO. 12- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE ADDING A FEE FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES USING CITY CHARGING STATIONS WHEREAS, the City maintains a Master Fee Schedule setting forth fees and charges for various services; and WHEREAS, the City has installed electric vehicle charging stations at various locations throughout the City that are available for use by the general public; and WHEREAS, the city incurs costs, including PG&E electricity usage fees and private vendor processing fees, for use of the electric vehicle charging stations; and WHEREAS, it is appropriate to amend the Master Fee Schedule to include fees for use of the City's electric vehicle charging stations. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. Amend the Master Fee Schedule to add a fee for public use of the City's electric vehicle charging stations as follows: One dollar ($1.00) per hour, or increment thereof, of usage of a City electrical vehicle charging station. SECTION 2. The City Manager may amend the fee to reflect changes in utility and vendor costs and to assure the electrical vehicle charging stations operate at no cost to the City, provided a fee amendment may not occur more than twice annually. SECTION 3. Revenue collected from the electric vehicle charging stations shall be appropriated for meeting program costs including electricity, maintenance and program administration. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on April 17, 2012.
