Many of these events are staffed by officers who patrol and <br /> respond to calls for service within or related to the event. Due to the size of the size of <br /> some events and large crowds officers may have difficulty responding to a particular <br /> location within a reasonable amount of time. A small electric vehicle, similar in size to a <br /> golf cart, would provide an alternate means of transportation and is highly <br /> maneuverable in areas where large crowds, vendor tents/displays, and other non- <br /> mobile obstacles inhibit the use of full-sized police car. This vehicle would be an all- <br /> electric model and would be in compliance with of the City's Green Initiative. <br /> • Health and Wellness Stress Management Program $15,000 <br /> The Police Department has developed a Health and Wellness Stress Management <br /> Program based upon the Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) model of <br /> addressing employee crisis response.
