9 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> t -- CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> j�LEASP4NTON. <br /> April 17, 2012 <br /> Community Development <br /> Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY ROSAS <br /> BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION FOR THE ANNUAL CURB AND GUTTER <br /> REPLACEMENT PROJECT, CIP NO. 105009 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The project consists of removing and replacing curb & gutter for adequate storm <br /> drainage flow, and installation of access ramps for pedestrian accessibility in <br /> preparation for the street resurfacing project. Construction of the subject project is <br /> complete and ready for acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the subject project. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the subject project. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $23,320.33 to Roses Brothers <br /> Construction thirty days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 4. Authorize the transfer of the remaining funds in the amount of $1,287 to the Streets <br /> Capital Improvement Program (CIP) fund for future streets CIP projects, and close <br /> out the Annual Curb and Gutter Replacement project, CIP No. 105009. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> This project is part of an annual ongoing program that will replace and upgrade existing <br /> infrastructure and will reduce maintenance costs. <br /> Funding for this project was provided by the Annual Curb and Gutter Replacement <br /> Project, CIP No. 105009 and the Annual Sidewalk Maintenance project, CIP No. <br /> 105012, which were authorized by City Council as part of the 2010/2011Capital <br /> Improvement Program. <br />
