M&S lab*19639.010 <br /> Exhibit A <br /> Page 1 of 9 <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> PROPOSAL <br /> CIP 115034 Staples Ranch: Stoneridge Drive and <br /> Santa Rita Road Intersection Improvements <br /> Consultant agrees to perform the Services listed below as Task 0 through Task 5 based on the following <br /> understood project status: <br /> PROJECT STATUS <br /> 1. Project Description: Client intends to improve the southern and western legs of the Stoneridge Drive <br /> and Santa Rita Road intersection, herein after described as the"Project" in general accordance with <br /> the attached preliminary alignment study(Exhibit B).Client desires to retain Consultant(and its sub- <br /> consultants)for the performance of civil engineering, land surveying,water quality, landscape <br /> architecture,signal design,site lighting design and geotechnical evaluation services to the generally <br /> accepted standards of practice in effect at the time of performance,for the Project which are <br /> hereinafter called "Services"; <br /> 2. CEQA clearance has been completed with the City's 2009 General Plan Update and TIF study; <br /> 3. Phase I and II ESA have been completed by others; <br /> 4. The City will be responsible for acquiring the necessary right-of-way for the project(including <br /> necessary title reports and appraisals) and for obtaining the necessary rights-of-entry for the <br /> consultant to perform the work; <br /> 5. City has obtained design level topographic surveys(by others)for the proposed project that meet <br /> industry standards for mapping accuracy.These surveys have been provided to the Consultant. <br /> The items listed above as "completed"or"by others" are not included in the Client's Services.Any <br /> requested Services for these items are considered additional services and not included within the scope of <br /> this contract. <br /> SERVICES <br /> MacKay&Somps intends to provide the following services to facilitate the improvement of the Project in <br /> general accordance with the attached preliminary alignment study(Exhibit B).Some of the major <br /> components as described on Exhibit B include: <br /> • Conversion of a northbound through lane to a third left turn lane; <br /> Co Addition of a northbound right turn lane without acquisition of right-of-way along the eastern <br /> property line; <br /> • Addition of a eastbound free right turn lane and southbound acceleration lane; <br /> Recommendations to make the current intersection ADA compliant; <br /> + Modification of the Hacienda Business Park entry monument to the satisfaction of the City and <br /> Hacienda Business Park management. <br /> TASK 0—PROJECT MANAGEMENT <br /> 0.1 Proiect Meetings/Schedule <br /> MacKay&Somps will coordinate the monthly project status meetings (including maintaining the project <br /> schedule)and coordinate with City staff on scheduling of design meetings and site visits. <br /> 0.2 Team Coordination <br /> P:\19639\office\contracts\2012-03-02_MacKay&Somps_Exhibit-A.doc <br />
