""' <br /> Despite existing ingress and egress for <br /> properties located on surrounding roadways, <br /> no businesses or residences have g <br /> Washington Mutual Way mailing addresses. <br /> In 1998, the City Council adopted a ^. . <br /> resolution changing the name from Morse <br /> Drive to Providian Way. In 2006 the street <br /> was renamed Washington Mutual Way to <br /> reflect the campus transition from Providian <br /> to Washington Mutual. a <br /> Washington Mutual Way is not on the City's Heritage Street Name list (a list that <br /> identifies and protects historically significant street names in Pleasanton). <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> Street name change requests are evaluated on a case by case basis. Prior to <br /> recommending street name changes, staff investigates any potential concerns by the <br /> Police and Fire Departments and potential impacts to affected businesses and property <br /> owners. None of the adjoining businesses and residences have Washington Mutual <br /> Way mailing addresses. The Police and Fire Departments do not have any public safety <br /> concerns about the proposed name change. <br /> In January 2012, staff mailed notices to adjacent businesses and property owners <br /> requesting comments on the proposed name change.
