THE CITY OF C <br /> -- "' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT J <br /> PL£ASANTONe <br /> March 6, 2012 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION CHANGING THE NAME OF WASHINGTON <br /> MUTUAL WAY TO CLOROX WAY <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Clorox Company is building a new research and development facility on the former <br /> Washington Mutual site, a 26.15 acre campus located on Johnson and Franklin Drives. <br /> Washington Mutual Way currently links Hopyard Road to Johnson Drive and the <br /> proposed Clorox campus. The Clorox Company has requested that the city change <br /> Washington Mutual Way to Clorox Way to reflect these changes. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends that the City Council adopt a resolution changing the name of <br /> Washington Mutual Way to Clorox Way. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Staff expects the purchase and installation of replacement signage will cost <br /> approximately $3,000. Clorox will pay for all direct costs related to effecting the name <br /> change. <br />
