This opportunity <br /> was published in the Tri-Valley Herald and Valley Times on Friday, July 10, 2011. A copy of <br /> the public notice is included in Exhibit C. <br /> The City of Pleasanton Disaster Council comprised of sixteen local agency emergency planning <br /> and preparedness partners and over 300 citizens who participated in the LPFD Community <br /> Emergency Response Team program over the years were invited to review the plan and provide <br /> comment. One agency contributed comments which were incorporated into on-going mitigation <br /> strategies pertaining to water supplies. <br /> The City Council will adopt the plan in a public meeting via an official Resolution upon approval <br /> by FEMA. The mitigation strategies will become an implementation appendix of the Public <br /> Safety Element of the City of Pleasanton's General Plan. <br /> Hazards Assessment <br /> The ABAG Multi-Jurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan, to which this is an annex, lists <br /> nine hazards that impact the Bay Area, five related to earthquakes (faulting, shaking, earthquake- <br /> induced landslides, liquefaction, and tsunamis) and four related to weather (flooding, landslides, <br /> 2010 Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Annex 6 September 1, 2011 <br /> City of Pleasanton <br />
