BACKGROUND
Part of the Staples Ranch development plan includes the full extension of Stoneridge
Drive from its present terminus at Trevor Parkway easterly to El Charro Road. This
extension includes the construction of the bridge over the Arroyo Mocho. Since the
Arroyo Mocho is owned and maintained by Zone 7, it is necessary to get its approval to
both construct the bridge and establish maintenance responsibilities after bridge
construction. In addition, as part of the bridge construction, the ACSPA will be
constructing access roads/ramps to the Arroyo Mocho Channel and it is necessary to
provide Zone 7 with access to these improvements. These approvals are memorialized
in the attached easements.
DISCUSSION
The easements set forth construction, access and maintenance responsibilities for the
Stoneridge Drive bridge and the access roads/ramps traversing to and under the bridge.
The Arroyo Mocho access ramp on the northwest corner of the bridge will be
constructed within the CLC development and consequently, a separate access
easement will be granted to Zone 7 by CLC. As part of the Grant of Easement detailed
in Exhibit C, the City is agreeing to maintain the bridge and the Arroyo Mocho Channel
under the bridge and 50 feet east and west of the bridge structure.
Submitted by: Approved y:
•
Ha'n D an Nelson Fialho
Director of City Manager
Community Development
Attachments:
1.
