MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> November 1, 2011 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Thorne <br /> led the Pledge of Allegiance, provided introductory remarks, and led a moment of silence for those who <br /> have died defending our country. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: None <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS: None <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Lowell reported the Council met in Closed Session to discuss labor negotiations with the <br /> Pleasanton Police Officers Association and took no reportable action. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Administrative Services <br /> 1. Approved regular and special meeting minutes of October 4, 2011 <br /> Councilmember Cook-Kallio abstained from voting on the minutes of October 4, 2011. <br /> City Attorney <br /> 2. Waived second reading and adopted Ordinance No. 2022 amending the Municipal Code to <br /> authorize recovery of attorneys fees in nuisance abatement proceedings and to clarify injunctive <br /> relief language, including recovery of civil penalties for non compliance <br /> City Council <br /> 3. Approved the appointment of Tom Hall to the Altamont Landfill Committee Education Advisory <br /> Board <br /> Community Development <br /> 4. Accepted actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br /> Community Services <br /> 5. Approved the !location of the Public Artwork, "Special Friends"in Civic Park <br /> 6. Approved and authorized and authorized the City Manager to execute a new Operating <br /> Agreement between the City of Pleasanton and the East Bay Regional Park District for the <br /> Operation of Pleasanton Ridge/Augustin Bernal Park <br />
