Is the positioning of the buildings acceptable? <br /> <br />Commissioner Pentin stated that he likes the corner of Willow Road and Owens Drive <br />as well as the opening that follows through to the retail. He indicated that he also likes <br />the positioning and how the garages are not exposed to the two streets. <br /> <br />Commissioners <br /> <br />stated that he likes the corner and the way it is set up. He <br />noted that it attracts people and hopefully will keep the retail viable. <br /> <br />Chair Narum agreed. <br /> <br />E. Is the size of the public park on Site 2 acceptable (.55-acres)? <br /> <br />This question refers to Site 2. <br /> <br />F. What information would the Planning Commission wish to see to assist its <br />decision on the proposals? <br /> <br />Mr. Dolan explained that this refers to anything the Commission has not seen tonight <br />other than detail that it feels it will need to make its decision down the road. <br /> <br />Commissioner Blank stated that he would like to see the detailed visuals to the greatest <br />extent possible and additional detail work on the entryways. He noted that it would be <br />handy to also have cross references between the slide pictures and the packet pictures <br />as the Commissioners may have made notes on the packet pictures, and they would be <br />able to identify exactly what is being shown during the presentation with those in their <br />packets. He added that he would like something more than simple routing to the <br />Pleasanton Police Department, such as a statement indicating that somebody really did <br />look at them. <br /> <br />Mr. Dolan clarified that the application has gone through the level of dialogue where it is <br />routed to the different Departments and then discussed in detail at the Staff Review <br />Board meeting. He added that staff will specifically meet with the Police Department. <br /> <br />Commissioner Blank further stated that it would be very helpful if the applicant could <br />provide more viewscapes of how things will look. He indicated that he likes the overall <br />view, which looks very classy as a transit-oriented development site, and he thinks it is <br />great. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olson requested confirmation that that there will be on-site management <br />and security provided. <br /> <br />Mr. Yau confirmed that was correct. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES, October 17, 2011 Page 22 of 36 <br /> <br />
