THE CITY OF <br /> ° "' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTON. <br /> February 7, 2012 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH QUALITY <br /> COUNTS, LLC, IN THE AMOUNT OF $34,840 FOR TRAFFIC DATA <br /> COLLECTION SERVICES <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City plans to collect and update traffic data during peak morning (7am — 9am) and <br /> afternoon (4:30pm — 6:40pm) hours at 134 intersections in spring 2012. This data will <br /> include vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle turning movement counts and vehicle <br /> classification data. This information is used for a myriad of planning, design, <br /> construction and operational efforts. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Approve the contract with Quality Counts, LLC for traffic data collection services for <br /> the not to exceed amount of$34,840. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the attached contract. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The agreement will be funded by the traffic engineering operating budget for <br /> professional services. <br />
