Mr. Fialho said they have met on a regular basis since the fall of 2011. They have
focused on sorting through consultant proposals from non-profit developers in order to run through the
development stage and identify all options the committee is interested in. They have refined options
including redevelopment of the existing structure as one option to something that is denser in nature
and relies on utilization of recently acquired property adjacent to Kottinger. They conducted interviews
with non-profit developers, selected Mid Peninsula Housing, to work with the task force. The contract
and earmarking funds will come to the Council for approval in the next four weeks.
Councilmember McGovern noted the task force has been looking at Pleasanton Gardens, the new
property on Vineyard, and looking at rehabilitation. She thinks when they return these will be vetted and
the Council will be able to have a clear picture of the direction.
COUNCIL REPORTS: None
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:10 p.m. The Council extended a
tribute to our nation's men and women serving in the military.
