That certain .305 acre tract of land conveyed by Mads T. Groth <br />and Marie Groth, his wife, to the City and County of San Francisco, <br />recorded July 10, 1943 in Book 4400 of Official Records of Alameda <br />County at Page 182, said tract being more particularly described as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the northerly boundary line <br />of that certain 51.48 acre tract of land conveyed by Spring Valley <br />Water Company, Ltd., a corporation, to Mads T. Groth, et al., by deed <br />dated March 10, 1937 and recorded March 31, 1937 in Liber 3474 of <br />Official Records of Alameda County at page 57, with the center line of <br />County Road 1533; running thence easterly along said northerly line a <br />distance of 133 feet; thence southerly parallel to the said center <br />line of County Road 1533, a distance of 100 feet; thence westerly, <br />parallel with said northerly boundary line, 133 feet, to the center <br />line of County Road 1533; thence northerly along said center line a <br />distance of 100 feet to the point of co~aencement; together with the <br />wells, pumps, pipelines and appurtenances along with the 2,597 lineal <br />feet of 10-inch pipeline located in County Road No. 1533 leading from <br />said~..305 acre tract of land to Pleasanton's Reservoir; subject to an <br />easement for County Road No. 1533 over the westerly portion of said <br />tract of land; together with, and as incident and appurtenant thereto <br />such rights, benefits, and privileges, as against any and all lands <br />in the said County of Alameda not hereby conveyed but retained by San <br />Francisco which lands are situate within the boundaries of the Pleasan- <br />ton Township County Water District, to withdraw water from the under- <br />ground water supply as were conveyed by, and are more particularly <br />described in, the deed dated March 3, 1930 from Spring Valley to San <br />Francisco pertaining to parcels 69, 70, 71 and 72 of said deed, and <br />recorded in Liber 2350 of Official Records of Alameda County at page 1, <br />or otherwise acquired by prescription or prior appropriation for any <br />beneficial use desired by Pleasanton either on or off the parcel of <br />real property herein conveyed. <br /> <br /> EXCEPT any right to withdraw water from said underground supply <br />taken by eminent domain proceedings by the United States in an action <br />entitled "United States vs. 4.105 Acres of Land in Pleasanton, et al.," <br />being Action No. 22466 in the United States District Court, Northern <br />District of California, Southern Division; and, further, <br /> <br /> EXCEPTING AND RESERVING to San Francisco the right to withdraw <br />water from said underground water supply for domestic, industrial, <br />agricultural or municipal uses on any lands now owned in fee or <br />hereafter acquired in fee by San Prancisco within the boundaries of <br />the Pleasanton Township County Water District, on lands now being <br />supplied by San Francisco and known as "Oakmead Farm," on lands now <br />being supplied by San Francisco, formerly known as the "Phoebe A. <br />Hearst Ranch," and, as a supplemental source of supply to Pleasanton, <br />on any lands now or hereafter served by the Pleasanton Water System. <br /> <br /> <br />
