THE CITY OF 16 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTONo <br /> December 06, 2011 <br /> Community Development Department <br /> TITLE: CONFIRM APPOINTMENTS TO THE AD HOC HISTORIC <br /> PRESERVATION TASK FORCE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City Council is being asked to confirm appointments to the ad hoc Historic <br /> Preservation Task Force. This task force will revisit selected sections of the Downtown <br /> Specific Plan and associated Downtown Design Guidelines. The Historic Preservation <br /> Task Force will review the current Downtown Specific Plan and Design Guidelines and <br /> make recommendations to help clarify City policy on historic preservation and <br /> development review processes in the Historic Downtown and other areas within the <br /> City. <br /> The Task Force will be comprised of seven-members; two members from the Planning <br /> Commission and five Pleasanton residents. The task force is anticipated to convene in <br /> late January 2012 and complete its work by July 2012, with monthly meetings of the <br /> task force and additional meetings scheduled as needed. <br /> The City Council is being asked to confirm the two Planning Commission <br /> representatives and five at-large Pleasanton resident members to serve on the Historic <br /> Preservation Task Force. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Confirm the following individuals to serve on the Historic Preservation Task Force: <br /> 1. Planning commission (2 members): <br /> - Jennifer Pearce <br /> - Phillip Blank <br /> 2. At-large members (5 members): <br /> - Emilie Cruzan <br /> - Linda Garbarino <br /> - Gerald Hodnefield <br /> - Paul Martin <br /> - Bonnie Krichbaum <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no financial impact associated with the selection and confirmation of <br /> representatives to the task force. <br />
