ATTACHMENT 2
Carollo will request the information needed through Operations staff, and Operations will be
responsible for providing the information in a timely manner.
Two (2) small group customer meetings will be held with some of the key large potential users
(such as schools, parks, and business park superintendents), to inform them of the possible use
of recycled water and gather their potential issues and concerns. Presentation materials and
meeting summaries will be developed.
1.3 Customer Incentives
Customer incentives to use recycled water will be identified and summarized. The incentives will
be fully described and defined. The incentives will be defined for both retrofits and long-term
water use. Examples of other successful incentive programs will be provided.
1.4 Summary of Market Analysis
The supplies and demands identified above will be summarized in the form of tables, graphs,
maps, and meeting notes. This information will provide the basis for determining the required
facilities and the framework for the following tasks.
Split of Services under Task 1:
Carollo team:
- Attend agency meetings (i.e.: DSRSD, DERWA, LWRP), support Zone 7 to determine and
summarize local recycled water supplies, and develop meeting minutes
- Identify, quantify, map, and summarize City demands
- Facilitate and attend two customer meetings and develop meeting minutes
- Identify and summarize customer incentives under best management practices
- Collect information from Zone 7 and summarize market analysis into tables, graphs, and maps
Zone 7:
- Facilitate and attend agency meetings (i.e.: DSRSD, DERWA, LWRP) and lead effort to
determine and summarize existing and future Valley recycled water supplies
- Identify preliminary preferred areas for reuse (based on Zone 7 groundwater recharge areas)
-Assist with identification and quantification of demands
-Attend two customer meetings
- Provide input and additional ideas on incentive programs
Task 2. Facility Analysis
2.1 Development of Facility Scenarios
Using the information developed in Task 1, various project scenarios will be developed that
include identification of the following: customers, demands, recycled water sources, and
facilities needed, (such as treatment, storage, pumping, and distribution). Preliminary facility
siting and sizing will be identified for each scenario. Up to six (6) scenarios will be developed to
include the variety of possible sources, uses, and existing facilities available. The potential of
these scenarios will be explored early in the process in order to potentially narrow down the
scenarios to expedite Task 2 if possible.
