Adopted Ordinance No. 2021 approving the application of David DiDonato for Planned Unit <br /> Development Rezoning and Development plan approval, as filed under case PUD-82 <br /> Councilmember McGovern stated her opposition to the application based on the demolition of what she <br /> considers a historic structure. <br /> Finance <br /> 9. Adopted Resolution No. 11-480 approving the Policy for Write-off of Uncollectible Accounts <br /> Receivable <br /> Councilmember McGovern requested that future Councils receive an annual report on uncollectlble <br /> accounts exceeding $500. <br /> MOTION: It was M/S by Thorne/Cook-Kallio to approve Consent Calendar, as submitted. <br /> Councilmember McGovern voted "no" on Item No. 8. Motion carried by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: Councilmember Sullivan <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> 10. Business Anniversary Recognition <br /> Director of Economic Development Pamela Ott recognized the 88 Pleasanton businesses celebrating <br /> milestone anniversaries this year. <br /> 11. Public Comment <br /> Nancy Harrington stated that the community has until December 10, 2011 to raise the remaining $7,840 <br /> needed to purchase the art piece "Eternity." She encouraged residents to become involved in and take <br /> ownership of public art, since investing in art and culture is a proven catalyst for growth and economic <br /> prosperity. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> 12. Approve $250,000 from the Capital Improvement Program to establish the Energy Upgrade <br /> Pleasanton program <br /> Director of Operations Services Daniel Smith presented the staff report, acknowledging the efforts of <br /> Energy Manager Laura Ryan. <br /> Mr. Smith stated that Energy Upgrade Pleasanton is a unique and comprehensive energy upgrade <br /> package that provides local residents and businesses with unparalleled opportunities. The package <br /> piggybacks off the City's smaller local energy programs and combines them with new offers to create a <br /> program that is feasible for almost any budget. As part of the City's beta testing involvement, the <br /> California Energy Commission has helped to develop a specific program to lower the cost of upgrade <br /> infrastructure along with a fully funded marketing program. Pleasanton School District will assist with <br /> marketing and in turn receives $100 from the state for each completed upgrade.
