MINUTES 0 1 <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> October 18, 2011 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember <br /> McGovern led the Pledge of Allegiance and Councilmember Cook-Kallio provided introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: Councilmember Sullivan <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS: None <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Administrative Services <br /> 1. Approved regular meeting minutes of September 6, 2011 <br /> City Attorney <br /> 2. Approved an amendment to the Associated Community Action Program (ACAP) Joint Powers <br /> Authority <br /> 3. Introduced and waived full reading of Ordinance No. 2022 amending Municipal Code to authorize <br /> recovery of attorneys fees in nuisance abatement proceedings and to clarify injunctive relief <br /> language, including recovery of civil penalties for non compliance <br /> City Council <br /> 4. Approved Commission and Committee Appointments <br /> Councilmember McGovern pointed out that there are no Pleasanton school representatives on the <br /> Altamont Landfill Committee Education Advisory Board. This is particularly unfortunate given that the <br /> Council allocated $425,000 in grants to the board last year. The appointed member should be a <br /> science, environmental, or vocational education teacher from the Pleasanton public schools and reside <br /> in Alameda County. Vice-Mayor Thorne agreed to take the information to the next district board <br /> meeting. <br /> Community Development <br /> 5. Accepted actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br /> 6. Accepted public improvements performed by Ponte Engineering Corporation for the Bi-Annual <br /> Control Valve Installation project, CIP No. 101011; authorized the City Clerk to file a notice of <br /> completion, and the payment of retention in the amount $9,802.20 <br />
