c. Engineer the roof trusses to handle an additional load as determined by a <br /> structural engineer to accommodate the additional weight of a prototypical <br /> photovoltaic system beyond that anticipated for roofing. <br /> d. Plumbing shall be installed for solar-water heating; and <br /> e. Space shall be provided for solar-heating tank. <br /> These measures shall be shown on the building permit plan set submitted to the <br /> Director of Community Development for review and approval before issuance of <br /> the building permit. <br /> 20. Appliances meeting Energy Star standards shall be installed as part of the project. <br /> The proposed appliances shall be indicated on the plans submitted for the issuance <br /> of a building permit. <br /> 21.Water conservation device such as low-flow faucets, toilets, shower fixtures, etc. <br /> shall be installed as part of the project. The devices(s) shall be indicated on the <br /> plans submitted for the issuance of a building permit. <br /> 22.The project developer shall prepare a voluntary program of alternative transportation <br /> measures including, but not limited to, rideshare matching and subsides/rewards, <br /> preferential parking, and carpooling/vanpooling, the means by which these <br /> measures will be marketed to the employees, and the provisions of reports to the <br /> City of Pleasanton of the performance of the trip reduction program. <br /> 23.Energy efficient lighting shall be installed as part of the project. The energy efficient <br /> light shall be shown on the plans submitted for the issuance of a building permit. <br /> 24.The project developer shall effectively screen from view all ducts, meters, air <br /> conditioning equipment, and any other mechanical equipment, whether on the <br /> structure, on the ground, or on the roof, with materials architecturally compatible with <br /> the building. Screening details shall be shown on the plans submitted for issuance <br /> of building permits, the adequacy of which shall be determined by the Director of <br /> Community Development. All required screening shall be provided prior to <br /> occupancy. <br /> 25.AII trash and refuse shall be contained completely within the approved trash <br /> enclosure. The trash enclosure shall be sized to accommodate both trash and <br /> recycling containers. The materials and color of the enclosure shall match the <br /> building and the gates shall be corrugated metal or solid wood. The design of the <br /> enclosure shall be shown on the plans submitted for issuance of building permits <br /> and shall be subject to the approval of the Director of Community Department and <br /> Fire Chief. Trash containers shall be stored within the enclosure at all times, except <br /> when being unloaded. <br /> 26.The location of any pad-mounted transformers shall be subject to approval by the <br /> Director of Community Development prior to issuance of permits by the Building and <br /> Page 4 of 21 <br />
