13 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> -L£ASf�NTONO CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> October 18, 2011 <br /> Economic Development <br /> TITLE: CONFIRM APPOINTMENTS TO THE AD HOC DOWNTOWN <br /> HOSPITALITY GUIDELINES TASK FORCE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City Council is being asked to confirm to appointments to the ad hoc Downtown <br /> Hospitality Guidelines Task Force. This task force will develop a set of guidelines that <br /> addresses key elements in creating a positive and responsible environment for <br /> downtown vitality. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Confirm the appointment of representatives to the 11-member ad hoc Downtown <br /> Hospitality Guidelines Task Force. Based on previous City Council direction, the task <br /> force is comprised of two members from the City Council, two members from the <br /> Planning Commission, two members appointed by the Pleasanton Downtown <br /> Association Board of Directors, and five Pleasanton residents. The Planning <br /> Commission representatives have been selected from its members, and the Pleasanton <br /> Downtown Association Board of Directors has appointed two representatives from <br /> among its membership. The Pleasanton residents have been selected through the <br /> City's normal application and selection process, with the Mayor and City Council <br /> members each making one appointment to the task force. <br /> Appoint two City Council representatives to serve on the task force. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no financial impact associated with the confirmation of representatives to the <br /> task force. <br />
