BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council wishes to
make the following specific requests of the Zone No. 7 Board of
Directors, and urges adoption of these requests as the policy
of Zone No. 7:

The present plan calling for the recharge and pumping
of water to be supplied to agencies contracting with
Zone No. 7 should be discarded, and Zone No. 7 should
in~nediately cease operations of this nature for the
reason stated above, until such time as the studies out-
lined in paragraph No. 7 above are completed.

In lieu of the recharge and pumping program, Zone No. 7
should immediately embark upon a program which would
result in the delivery of treated water to the Amador
Valley area via pipeline from the South Bay Aqueduct,
in order that the contracting agencies in the Amador
Valley may receive water in a manner equal to that now
employed for the benefit of contracting agencies in the
Livermore area.

The City requests that Zone No. 7 provide to Pleasanton
and the Pleasanton Township County Water District all
information available to Zone No. 7 which would assist
in the conduct of studies designed to answer the areas
of inquiry delineated in paragraph No. 7 above.

ADOPTED: September 3, 1963.

JOHN L.
