MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AND WORKSHOP <br /> June 7, 2011 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Vice Mayor Cook- <br /> Kallio led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: Councilmember McGovern <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Lowell reported that the Council met in Closed Session to discuss anticipated <br /> litigation concerning three cases. In addition, the Council discussed existing litigation <br /> (Pleasanton v. Caltrans) and in all instances there is no reportable action. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mayor Hosterman requested moving up Item 9 on the agenda. <br /> 9. Presentation of a Commendation recognizing Kathleen Wat as the 2011 'Woman of the <br /> Year' for the 18th Assembly District <br /> Vice Mayor Cook-Kallio read a proclamation and presented Kathleen Wat with a commendation <br /> recognizing her as the 2011 Woman of the Year' for the 18`"Assembly District. <br /> Ms. Wat expressed her thanks for being nominated by Assemblymember Mary Hayashi and <br /> thanked the City Council for the special commendation and recognition. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Administrative Services <br /> 1. Approved special meeting minutes of May 3, 17, and 19, 2011 <br /> City Manager <br /> 2. Adopted Resolution No. 11-454 authorizing representatives of the city to examine <br /> confidential sales and use tax records of the State Board of Equalization <br /> Community Development <br /> 3. Accepted of actions of the Planning Commission and Zoning Administrator <br /> 4. Approved plans and specifications, reviewed bids, and awarded a construction contract to <br /> O'Grading Paving, Inc. in the amount of $2,086,480.70 for the Annual Resurfacing of <br />
