It is hereby further agreed that STURGIS, D~N-DULK, DOUGLASS & ANDERSON, Attorneys at Law, shall be Special Bond Counsel to prepare all proceedings in accordance with the terms and conaitmons of the petition nere_nabove referred to, and contract to be hereafter entered into between the said STURGiS, DEN- DULK, DOUGLASS & ANDERSON and the City of Pleasanton. 5. That the public interest and convenience will be served by the taking of special assessment proceedings for the acquisition of im- provements set forth in said petition. Said work is of more than or- amna. y public benefit and the cost and expenses thereof should be borne by a district benefited by said acquisition of improvements. Said district shall be known and designated as '~Assessment District No. 64-1, City of Pleasanton, County of Alameda, State of California". 6. The district which shall bear the cost and expenses of said acquisition of improvements, including all incidental expenses, and which is to be assessed to pay for the cost of said acquisition of improvements, is that district shown on a map which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, which is desig- nated, "Map ~nowing Boundaries of District Proposed to be Assessed for Construction of Improvements in Assessment District No. 6~-1, Mission Park Assessment District No. Alameda, State of California". 7. That in view of the fact City of Pleasanton, County of that 100% of the owners of the proper~y within the area to be assessed for the cost of said acquisi- tion of improvements have petitioned for said improvements, this City Council hereby finds that the public interest and convenience require that this City Comncil undertake proceedings for the acquisi- tion of improvements under the provisions of the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913 and the improvement Bond Act of 1915, and without further compliance with the provisions of the Special Assessment Investiga- tion, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 of the State of -2-
