CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1052 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ALTERNATE MEMBERS OF <br /> COMMISSIONS <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON HEREBY ORDAINS AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Section 1-3.08 of the Pleasanton Code is amended <br /> to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "§1-3.08 Membership. <br /> <br /> (a) The Planning Commission shall consist of the <br /> following members: Five (5) commissioners <br /> having one (1) vote each and one (1) alternate <br /> member. <br /> <br /> (b) The alternate member shall vote in the case <br /> of an absence or conflict of interest of any <br /> regular member of the Commission. The alternate <br /> member can serve as a voting member on any <br /> subcommittee of the Planning Commission <br /> including the Design Review Board and maybe <br /> designated as the Planning Commission's <br /> representative to other boards and commissions." <br /> <br />Section 2: Section 1'3.10 of the Pleasanton Code is amended <br /> by deleting therefrom the last three sentences and <br /> replacing said sentences with the following: <br /> <br /> "The alternate commissioner first appointed shall <br /> serve until May 5, 1986 and successive appointments <br /> after that date shall be for four (4) year terms." <br /> <br />Section 3: Section 1-3.11 of the Pleasanton Code is amended <br /> to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "The Director of Planning and Community Development <br /> as Secretary to the Commission, the City Attorney <br /> and the Director of Public Works and Utilities <br /> shall be ex officio and advisory members of the <br /> Commission with no vote." <br /> <br />Section 4: Section 1-3.25.05 relating to the Park and <br /> Recreation Commission is added to the Pleasanton <br /> Code to read: <br /> <br /> <br />
