She especially was happy that the project will be wonderful for children and families
and great for using trails as alternative modes of transportation between neighborhoods. She
asked whether Urban Forest grant funds could be acquired to plant additional trees to fill in
between the two rows of trees being removed. She also supported suggestions of John Carroll
in the capacity of the business park and subtracting the residential square footage from the
commercial, which has to do with traffic, infrastructure and what was approved for the business
park. She lastly thanked John Wayland from BRE for making this a great Pleasanton project.
Mayor Hosterman thanked all parties involved, knows the community appreciates this, and this
always ends up with better projects. She especially thanked staff for their hard work.
MOTION: It was M/S by Cook-Kallio/Sullivan to introduce and waive full reading of Ordinance
No. 2018 approving PUD-81-30-48M/PUD-85-82-01; a Major Modification to the Planned Unit
Development for Hacienda Business Park and various standards and guidelines to guide
development on three parcels close to the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station, and to provide
design concepts for associated improvements including streets, landscaping, bike and
pedestrian connections and open space (Hacienda TOD Standards and Design Guidelines) on
three sites located at (1) Southeast corner of Willow Road and Owens Drive (APN 941-2778-
013) (2) North of Gibraltar Drive and Hacienda Drive (APN 941-2778-011) and (3) Southeast
corner of Gibraltar Drive and Willow Road (a portion of APN 941-2761-003), as amended.
Motion passed by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman
Noes: None
Absent: None
MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL— None
COUNCIL REPORTS — None
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:15 p.m., with a tribute to our
nation's men and women serving in the military.
