shall determine the number of signatures thereon, examine the <br /> <br />petition and certify the results as provided in the Code. If <br /> <br />a petition meeting the requirements of the Code is duly <br />submitted, the effective date of this ordinance shall be <br />suspended and the City Council shall reconsider this <br /> <br />ordinance. If the City Council does not entirely repeal this <br />ordinance, the City Council shall submit this ordinance to <br />the voters at either a regular election or a special <br />election, as provided in the Code, and this ordinance shall <br />not become effective until a majority of the voters voting on <br />this ordinance vote in favor of it. If the City Council <br />repeals this ordinance or submits this ordinance to the <br />voters and a majority of the voters voting on this ordinance <br />do not vote in favor of it, this ordinance shall not again be <br />enacted by the City Council for a period of one year after <br />the date of its repeal by the City Council or disapproval by <br />the voters. <br /> <br />5. The City Clerk shall publish this ordinance <br />within fifteen (15) days after adoption as required by law. <br /> <br /> <br />
