RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO BECOME A MEMBER OF CALIFORNIA STATE <br /> ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES — EXCESS INSURANCE AUTHORITY <br /> WHEREAS, the California State Association of Counties — Excess Insurance <br /> Authority (CSAC-EIA) was established as a risk sharing pool dedicated to controlling <br /> losses, and providing risk management and employee benefit solutions; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton will join the California State Association of <br /> Counties - Excess Insurance Authorities (CSAC-EIA) for the purpose of participating in <br /> their pooled insurance programs. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER <br /> THE FOLLOWING: <br /> Section 1: The City of Pleasanton will become a member of the California State <br /> Association of Counties — Excess Insurance Authority (CSAC-EIA) for the purpose of <br /> participating in their pooled insurance programs. <br /> Section 2: City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into the <br /> book of original resolutions. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the <br /> foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the <br /> 17th of May 2011, by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: <br /> Noes: <br /> Absent: <br /> Abstain: <br /> Karen Diaz, City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> Jonathan P.
