§1-3.33.30 Duties. The duties of the Pleasanton Housing <br /> Authority are as follows: <br /> <br /> (a) General - To assist the City of Pleasanton to provide <br /> decent and affordable housing to qualified low and <br /> moderate income persons. <br /> <br /> (b) Communication <br /> <br /> (1) To increase communication and understanding with <br /> the City, the community, with other governmental <br /> agencies, the United States Department of Housing <br /> and Urban Development, nonprofit housing <br /> corporations, volunteer housing groups and <br /> individuals working towards the goals of the <br /> Housing Authority. <br /> <br /> (2) To continue to maintain good relationships with the <br /> residents of its housing developments. <br /> <br /> (3) To work for funding in conjunction with the City <br /> Council and the City Staff in obtaining resources <br /> for low and moderate income programs within the <br /> City. <br /> <br /> (4) To file a report of its activities during the <br /> preceding year with the City Clerk and the State <br /> Department of Housing and Community Development as <br /> required by Health and Safety Code Section 34328. <br /> <br /> (c) Planning <br /> <br /> (1) To continue to investigate and support within the <br /> City all possible means for developing affordable <br /> housing within the City. <br /> <br /> (2) To oversee and assure that the housing needs of the <br /> City of Pleasanton are fostered by actively <br /> participating in the land use and/or housing <br /> reviews that are undertaken by the City of <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> (3) To investigate and support a variety of housing <br /> programs. <br /> <br /> (4) To cooperate with the private housing industry to <br /> produce affordable housing. <br /> <br /> (5) To jointly exercise its powers with local housing <br /> agencies, for appropriate programs, in providing <br /> affordable housing in the City of Pleasanton area. <br /> <br /> - 5 - <br /> <br /> <br />
