(max. 1,300 characters) he City of Pleasanton Paratransit Service will continue to provide door -to -door services to Pleasanton & Sunol residents 60+ years and ADA eligible Pleasanton /Sunol residents 18+ years. The service is available Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. There is a two week reservation indow, with most clients reserving within the same week. Same day service is not available due to limited resources. The PPS service area covers all of Pleasanton and Sunol. Limited service for medical ppointments is provided to San Ramon, Dublin and Livermore. The primary trip purposes are for medical . ppointments and basic living needs. Fares: in -town service for residents $3.00 and non - residents $3.50 and • ut -of -town service for residents $3.50 and non - residents $4.00. For FY 11 -12, 350 unduplicated clients will be served and 16,000 rides will be provided. As Pleasanton's core paratransit service for Pleasanton, the goal is to reduce isolation, increase socialization, and encourage independent living, thereby minimizing the need for institutionalization and enhancing the quality of life for residents no longer able to drive.
